Peanut butter and Chocolate Chip Protein Balls
Updated: Feb 8
I don't know about you, but in the morning I'm usually looking for something healthy and that's easy to eat on-the-go. If that's you, look no further. Check out these simple Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Protein balls. You can make a double or triple batch and put them in the freezer to have when you're in a pinch. Pair these balls with a side of fruit for a complete breakfast of healthy fats, protein, and carbs! These have been kid-tested and they are approved :)
Ingredients:
1.5 cups of oats
1 cup peanut butter
¼ cup of protein powder (I love vanilla Shakeology)
1 tablespoon Chia seeds
1 tablespoon flax seeds
¼ c. honey
¼ c chocolate chips
¼ butterscotch or peanut butter chips (optional)
Directions:
Put all dry ingredients into a large bowl and mix
Add peanut butter and honey and mix
Add chocolate chips and peanut butter chips last.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll out golf ball sized balls.
Store in the freezer or refrigerator.

Pro tips:
Warm up your peanut butter in the microwave before adding it to the dry ingredients. This helps the peanut butter mix in faster.
If the mixture seems too dry add small amounts of water to help the mixture come together.
Lily’s chocolate chips is a good low-sugar option.
Pair a protein ball with a piece of fruit for a balanced breakfast or protein, healthy carbs, and healthy fats!
Store in the freezer to keep protein balls fresh.
I hope you and your family love these! Let me know in the comments if you give them a try!
